Shopify Website Launch: Oxford Jewelers

www.oxfordjewelers.net – a WordPress site converted to the Shopify platform

Clients often come to us asking the best way to sell products online. Our quick answer is that it depends how many products they’re selling, and how often the product assortment will change. If it’s just a small client that’s selling a single item (e.g., a restaurant that wants to sell T-shirts), there are cost-effective options that can be built easily into a WordPress site where the client manages their own fulfillment and handles the order processing through a simple PayPal integration.

For a client that wants to sell a larger assortment of products, we really do recommend a larger, managed e-commerce solution like Shopify. It makes things like printing shipping labels, handling payments and returns, adding/editing products, and – most important – providing communication to the customer – completely worry-free on our client’s behalf. And from an internal standpoint, Shopify really does have the best back-end that allows for customer tracking, shopping insights, and advertising/remarketing (click here to see how we’ve been leveraging a client’s Shopify platform and connecting it to a Google Performance Max advertising plan). Plus, there’s no need to rely on their pre-made templates, as the interface can be completely customized.

So back to this project – when our local client, Oxford Jewelers, decided they want to sell/ship products on their existing WordPress site, we converted the entire site to Shopify using their existing design, content, and URL structure, making it a seamless process for the client, while allowing them to immediately ship and sell their products online. The new/upgraded site launched earlier this week, and they’re already selling and shipping products and adding to their portfolio.

Thanks, Devin and Angela for your partnership, as always. Happy selling!
